Long Run Massacre - 2025

Since 199 The Living History Group The Painted Stone Settlers have presented The Long Run Massacre Re-Enactment every September in Shelbyville, KY. Re-enactors gather to tell the true story of Squire Boone's Station and their decision to abandon the station. While enroute to Linn Station, near Louisville they were attacked by Indians. Many women, children, men and militia soldiers were killed or captured. The station was burned to the ground but rebuilt in 1783.
