The Siege of Fort Boonesborough

Daniel Boone and a few others were outside the fort on a September day in 1778. Boone had recently escaped from captivity in the Ohio country. While there he had overheard his adoptive father Chief Blackfish talking of an attack on the fort. Indians were spotted, everyone ran for the fort. Although Daniel met with Blackfish in a parley to stall the attack- peace was not reached and the Great Siege was on.
